Japan's fourth World Warrior goes to Zabuton, and the US run-in is still to come

A perfect last round in Tokyo's biggest online bracket, then what's left on the calendar before Capcom Cup 13.

World Warrior Japan #4 was played online on Sunday 18 October, with 1,477 entrants. eSports World reports that Sycom | Zabuton, on Dee Jay, won his first World Warrior event, and his first points of the season.

Zabuton beat RIDDLE ORDER | Adeli (Ed) 3–0 in the winners final. Adeli came back through the losers side and reset the bracket 3–0, but Zabuton took the final set and closed it out with a perfect round. VARREL | Wabiichi (Terry) was third and FAV | Fujimura (C. Viper) fourth.

Japan is the only Super Region this year, with two Capcom Cup 13 places. One goes to the player with the most points across five events, and the other is decided at an offline final for the top eight on points from their best three events. After Sunday, eSports World has Fujimura up to 80 points and Adeli to 70. The fifth and last event is on 29 November.

In North America, the World Warrior finals haven't been played yet. EventHubs' schedule has the US/Canada West final on 15 November and the US Midwest final on 6 December, with Japan's on 13 December. Capcom Cup 13 itself runs from 10 to 14 March 2027 at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.
